Wolves Take On Premiership Leaders "Dad's Army" @ Monmore In Play Off Semi Final.
NICK Morris says losing their lead in the Premiership table is nothing to worry about ahead of tomorrow’s play-off semi-final with Peterborough at Monmore (7.30).
A home defeat by the Panthers two weeks ago cost Parrys International Wolves the league leaders spot ultimately as the Panthers pipped them to the post by a point.
Now the teams will do battle over the next two Mondays for a place in the Premiership Grand Final and a shot at the league title.
Morris, a key member of the Wolverhampton team, believes they will respond with a big performance on the biggest night of the season.
“Finishing top is not the be all and end all, We’ve been good all season and we know what we’re capable of as a team. That Peterborough match was the first meeting we’ve lost at home all year. I actually think it could be a blessing in disguise; it could bring us back down to earth. I think it will only bring us closer together as a team and will be even more motivation to help us fight in those play-offs.”
A bumper crowd is expected for the clash with plenty of Peterborough fans expected to make the journey.
Wolves boss Peter Adams always liked to hold the first leg of play-offs on home shale with the target to build a lead to defend in the return away.
Peterborough claimed top spot with a 58-32 win over bottom club King’s Lynn on Thursday and will use the rider replacement facility for the injured Ulrich Ostergaard at number one.
They have a trump card in reserve with former Grand Prix winner Hans Andersen in a position to take seven rides if needed and he could be their danger man.
